Discover the Healing Power of Massage for Physical Relief and Mental Renewal

Welcome to Soukya Health and Well Being, your sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation. Here, I believe in the transformative power of massage therapy for holistic health and well-being. My specialised massage techniques are tailored to address both physical ailments and mental stressors, offering you a profound sense of harmony within yourself.

Let's delve deeper into the world of massage
and how it can benefit you.

In today's fast-paced world, life can often feel overwhelming.
From work deadlines to family commitments, the demands on our time and energy are constant. In the midst of this chaos, it's essential to prioritise self-care and nurture our well-being.

As stress accumulates, it takes a toll on both our bodies and minds. Muscle stiffness, tension headaches, insomnia, and anxiety are all common symptoms of this stress overload. That's where massage therapy comes in.

More than just a luxury, massage therapy offers a sanctuary of healing amidst the chaos of everyday life. It provides a space where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Tensions melt away, and a sense of peace washes over you.

Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain or simply a moment of relaxation, a good massage can rejuvenate your body, calm your mind, and nourish your soul. It's a holistic approach to wellness that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of your being, helping you find balance, harmony, and renewed vitality.

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy is an ancient healing practice that involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. Through various techniques, I work to alleviate tension, improve circulation, promote relaxation, and restore balance to the body's natural rhythms.

Fundamental to remedial massage is a short assessment and treatment plan. During the initial appointment information will be gathered relating to your condition in order to attempt to understand what is happening.

Assessment is done based on the information received from you, the client, or other health practitioners you may have seen, and a thorough visual assessment of posture and muscle testing for integrity.

Initial appointments are 75 mins to include approx 60 mins on that table. If however, you would like more table time and a more comprehensive session, then 90 mins is recommended.

How Can I Assist You as your Remedial Massage Therapist?

As a Senior Remedial massage Therapist, with skills in Kinesiology, Ortho Bionomy, myofascial release, Myofascial cupping and dry needling, I know all too well the need for a therapeutic approach that relieves discomfort and pain.

I have spent years uncovering the cause of many ailments throughout my time as a practitioner, with a keen focus on the structural integrity of the physical system.

What I have discovered over the years is this: Pain will show up in the body as a result of experiences and emotions that cause changes in the muscles, cells and tissues.

Massage is often one of the first places we go to, to find relief.

I am here to offer you a customised approach that transcends conventional advice-giving. I take time to consider your physical, mental, and emotional state, and we can collaboratively identify what your body genuinely craves and necessitates.

How much does a treatment cost? And how many treatments will I need?

These are questions most people need answering before they seek out any form of therapy, and many places don't reveal this until after the initial phone call. I believe it is more beneficial for you to make this decision based on your needs, and knowing can really help make that decision.

I always ask my clients, "How much do they value their health, now and in the future?" This is a good way to determine how much you are willing to put towards your health, financially.

If we choose not to value our health as much as other things, then we may find our experience with pain differs. If we ignore pain, which is an indicator that something needs to change, and we let things go on for too long, we will need to spend more time and money in the long run, to fix the problems we have with our health.

Maintaining our health is better than constantly dealing with acute conditions, so once we resolve the problems you have at their core, you need to consider investing in your long term health through maintenance sessions.

So here are my costs. I find most people with chronic pain will need between 2-4 treatments to rebalance the body's muscles, and then a maintenance program may be beneficial. After the initial treatment, we will discuss your needs and the number of treatments you may need.

For maintenance, it's entirely up to you. Usually, a treatment every 3-5 weeks will bring great benefit.

In addition to the above, if results are not being met fast enough, a few Kinesiology sessions may be in order to go deeper into the issue to find out the cause. Further information is available on my Kinesiology page.
